Well... Everything in God's timing. I have mentioned to several that I applied for an accelerated electrical apprenticeship at Alcoa where I already work. I was told I was accepted but that the december start date was pushed back to january or february because of some human resources snag or another. The good news is that I started today and the timing was excellant because there were too many things going on in my life in january and starting a new job would have made for a very stressful month at least and might have negatively impacted my training.
I'm excited about the new job. I feel that God has led me in this direction and it is a field I've been interested in since I was in the service and more so after I got my associates degree in 1989. It sounds like the training program is going to be thorough which is good because if I'm going to be an electrician I want to be a capable one. Accepting the apprenticeship was a leap of faith of sorts since I would be giving up my nearly 17 years seniority and virtually starting over but I know God sees the big picture and I trust him to guide me to make the right decisions.
